Will Vamos's “turbocharged” engine speed up consolidation in the machinery market?

AgFeed looks at the spin-off of Vamos's machinery sales division and its merger with Automob, Simpar's light-vehicle dealership network, and at what the deal means for consolidation in farm machinery retail. Ricardo Jacomassi, partner and chief economist at TCP Partners, notes that dealerships are mostly regional family groups going through succession and that the arrival of a listed company should speed up governance in the sector. “The farm machinery segment is very family-based by nature,” he says.
